Once upon a time, in a peaceful forest, lived a wise tortoise and a proud hare. The hare always mocked the tortoise for being slow. One sunny morning, the tortoise calmly challenged the hare to a race. All the forest animals gathered with excitement to watch.

The race began, and the hare quickly dashed far ahead. Confident in his speed, he stopped under a tree to rest. “The tortoise will never catch up,” he laughed and soon fell asleep. Meanwhile, the tortoise moved slowly but never stopped.

دوڑ شروع ہوئی تو خرگوش بجلی کی طرح دوڑا اور بہت آگے نکل گیا۔ اُسے اپنے تیز ہونے کا غرور تھا، اس لیے ایک درخت کے نیچے آرام کرنے رک گیا۔ اُس نے ہنستے ہوئے کہا، “کچھوا کبھی نہیں پہنچ سکتا” اور سوجھ گیا۔ اُدھر کچھوا آہستہ چلتا رہا، لیکن اُس نے رُکنا نہ چھوڑا۔

While the hare slept, the tortoise kept moving forward step by step. Hours passed, and finally, the tortoise crossed the finish line. Just then, the hare woke up and rushed to the end—but it was too late. The tortoise had already won the race.

جب خرگوش سو رہا تھا، کچھوا قدم بہ قدم آگے بڑھتا رہا۔ کئی گھنٹے گزر گئے، اور آخرکار کچھوا اختتامی لائن تک پہنچ گیا۔ اُسی وقت خرگوش جاگا اور تیزی سے دوڑا، لیکن دیر ہو چکی تھی۔ کچھوا دوڑ جیت چکا تھا۔

All the animals clapped and cheered for the tortoise. The hare hung his head in shame. That day, everyone learned that steady effort and patience are more important than pride and speed.
