Huddersfield Town have made eight changes for tonight’s Vertu Trophy clash with Newcastle United U21s at the Accu Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7.45pm.

Manager Lee Grant has rotated his squad heavily, handing goalkeeper Lee Nicholls a return to the starting lineup in place of Owen Goodman, who is suspended in the league but available for the bench this evening. Nicholls will be protected by a back line featuring captain Murray Wallace, alongside Lasse Sorensen, Jack Whatmough and Sean Roughan.

In midfield, Grant has again turned to the partnership of David Kasumu and academy prospect Dan Vost, a duo already used in the Carabao Cup this season. Senior midfielders Ryan Ledson and Herbie Kane sit this one out.

Up front, Joe Taylor leads the attack, supported by Marcus Harness and Ruben Roosken, while Leo Castledine steps into the side to add creativity.
