Once in a small village, there lived two childhood friends, Hamza and Adeel. They grew up together, studied in the same school, and spent most of their time helping each other. People often said they were like brothers. But true friendship is tested not in good times, but in hard ones.

Urdu Translation:
ایک چھوٹے سے گاؤں میں حمزہ اور عدیل نامی دو بچپن کے دوست رہتے تھے۔ وہ ایک ساتھ بڑے ہوئے، ایک ہی اسکول میں پڑھتے تھے، اور ایک دوسرے کی مدد کرنے میں اکثر وقت گزارتے تھے۔ لوگ کہتے تھے کہ وہ بھائیوں جیسے ہیں۔ لیکن اصل دوستی کا پتہ اچھے وقتوں میں نہیں بلکہ مشکل وقتوں میں چلتا ہے۔

Paragraph 2 – English:
One day, a terrible flood hit their village. Houses were destroyed, and people started leaving in panic. Hamza’s house was badly damaged, and his family had nowhere to go. Many villagers ignored his calls for help. But Adeel rushed to Hamza’s side, without thinking twice.

Urdu Translation:
ایک دن ایک خوفناک سیلاب نے گاؤں کو اپنی لپیٹ میں لے لیا۔ گھروں کو نقصان پہنچا، اور لوگ خوف میں گاؤں چھوڑنے لگے۔ حمزہ کا گھر بری طرح تباہ ہو گیا، اور اس کے خاندان کے پاس رہنے کے لیے کوئی جگہ نہ رہی۔ کئی دیہاتیوں نے اس کی مدد کی درخواست کو نظر انداز کر دیا۔ لیکن عدیل فوراً حمزہ کے پاس پہنچا، بغیر کچھ سوچے سمجھے۔

Paragraph 3 – English:
Adeel took Hamza’s family to his own home, gave them food, clothes, and comfort. Even though Adeel’s own house was small, he shared whatever he had. Hamza was deeply touched by this act of kindness. That day, he understood the real meaning of the saying, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”

Urdu Translation:
عدیل حمزہ کے خاندان کو اپنے گھر لے گیا، انہیں کھانا، کپڑے اور سہارا دیا۔ حالانکہ عدیل کا اپنا گھر چھوٹا تھا، لیکن اس نے جو کچھ بھی تھا وہ بانٹ لیا۔ حمزہ اس احسان سے بہت متاثر ہوا۔ اسی دن اسے اس کہاوت کا حقیقی مطلب سمجھ آیا، “مصیبت میں کام آنے والا ہی سچا دوست ہوتا ہے۔”

Paragraph 4 – English:
In life, many people may smile with you during happy times. But only a true friend stands by your side when you have nothing. Adeel proved that friendship is not just about words—it’s about actions. That’s why, even years later, their bond remained unbreakable.

Urdu Translation:
زندگی میں بہت سے لوگ خوشیوں کے وقت آپ کے ساتھ ہوتے ہیں۔ لیکن جب آپ کے پاس کچھ نہ ہو، تب صرف ایک سچا دوست ہی ساتھ کھڑا رہتا ہے۔ عدیل نے یہ ثابت کیا کہ دوستی صرف باتوں سے نہیں بلکہ عمل سے ہوتی ہے۔ اسی لیے سالوں بعد بھی ان کی دوستی ٹوٹنے والی نہ تھی۔

Paragraph 5 – English:
This story teaches us that loyalty and support during hard times define a true friend. The value of friendship is not measured by how often you laugh together, but by how deeply you support each other when life becomes tough.

یہ کہانی ہمیں سکھاتی ہے کہ مشکل وقت میں وفاداری اور ساتھ دینا ہی ایک سچے دوست کی پہچان ہے۔ دوستی کی قدر اس بات سے نہیں ہوتی کہ آپ کتنی بار ہنستے ہیں، بلکہ اس سے ہوتی ہے کہ آپ مشکل وقت میں ایک دوسرے کا کتنا ساتھ دیتے ہیں۔
