When Tom Holland finds himself responsible for dinner while Zendaya is busy on set, he doesn’t turn to a celebrity chef or fancy takeout menus. Instead, he leans on his younger brother, Sam Holland, who also happens to be a chef and the author of the cookbook Kitchen Kickstart.

Sam recently shared with The Times that he sends his Spider-Man star brother simple recipes to make mealtime easier, especially since Zendaya maintains a plant-based diet. “I’m especially proud of the veggie section,” Sam explained. “Zendaya has a plant-based diet, and I sent those recipes Tom’s way as he was on dinner duty while she was filming in Boston. He went through them one by one and really enjoyed them.”

Key Points:

  • Tom Holland takes on kitchen duties while Zendaya films in Boston.

  • Brother Sam Holland provides easy vegetarian recipes from his new cookbook.

  • Sam insists even beginners like Tom, Harry, and Paddy Holland can manage them.

  • Tom claims he enjoys cooking but admits not every meal has been a success.

Sam admitted his brothers, including twins Tom and Harry, often struggle with cooking basics. Yet he remains convinced his recipes are foolproof enough for anyone to handle.

Tom, however, has a different view of his own culinary abilities. Speaking on the Dish podcast late last year, the 29-year-old actor said, “I’m a fine cook. I’ve been venturing into a lot of vegetarian cooking since my girlfriend’s vegetarian.” He noted that while most of his meals turned out fine, a few evenings ended with a fallback on takeout.

Fortunately, Zendaya also knows her way around the kitchen. Tom highlighted her “spicy vodka fusilli” as one of his favorite dishes, describing it simply as “delicious.”

With his fiancée’s skills and his brother’s guidance, Holland seems to be building confidence in the kitchen. And with Zendaya’s busy filming schedule, it looks like his time on “dinner duty” isn’t ending anytime soon.
